We have come to honor a hero
a very brave and wonderful man
A husband, father and brother
always a friend to lend a hand
His life was rich and fruitful,
work took him all over the world
Protecting and serving the people,
that was our hero, Leon Lindsay-Kerr
Leon was also a Calgary Police officer
more protecting, but staying at home
A pillar of strength in his community
too many friends to ever feel alone
He brought awareness to kids with cancer
they were the true heroes in his eyes
And his animals were like his family,
with sadness Maggie kissed him goodbye
His family and friends were around him
in his final days he must have felt loved
They were just giving back what they felt
after a visit with Leon you always felt hugged
Although we will miss this true hero
we know he is on guard in Heaven above
Watching over and protecting as always
a true Angel That Cares, full of love
DO NOT CRY FOR ME
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
