Have You Seen Me
Please open your eyes and see
take a look at my face, it's me
I am missing and could be anywhere
is anybody looking, does anybody care
Does anybody miss me, or does anybody cry
have I been forgotten in these days gone by
I may be tired, hurting, I may be all alone
I may be trying to reach you, trying to come home
If no one is looking for me, am I forever lost,
without hope of a future, without want or cost
I may be just around the corner or across many miles
but I am still worth looking for still somebody's child
This face that you see may be different now
this face may be drawn and worn
And my clothes, they may not look the same
for they now may be tattered and torn
I may have aged and I may have grown
but in my heart I am still a child alone
Waiting for that special someone somewhere
to please come and take me home, to care
And if I am no longer on this Earth
and never had the chance to say goodbye
Please know that I loved you dearly
and I am now here right by your side
