The Child Safety Protection Act has been passed through the House, and the Senate has been working on its own comprehensive, bipartisan bill, which is H.R. 4472/S. 1086 Dru's Law
THE BlLL - H.R. 4472 (The Children's Safety and Violent Crime Reduction Act of 2005) in the House of Representitives and S. 1086 for the Senate.
Write to your elected officials today to get the "Children's Safety Act" passed. Back in September, The Children's Safety Act --H.R. 3132-- passed the House, but not the Senate. Although the bill had bipartisan support, an unrelated hate crimes amendement that the Senate wanted to add stopped the bill in its tracks. In response, Congressman Sensenbrenner, R-Wisc., introduced The Children's Safety and Violent Crime Reduction Act of 2005, or H.R. 4472 last December.
John Walsh was back on Capitol Hill on February 28 to make sure that we can keep our children safe from the hundreds of thousands of sex offenders in this country today.
Ruth Sharon Hoffman disappeared from River Rouge, Michigan, nearly TWENTY years ago. Her only daughter,Debbie, has NEVER given up trying to find her. We are now asking the State Attorney General of Michigan to open an COMPLETE investigation.
The law CUE created with Milton Nerenberg, in honor of his missing daughter Audrey, has been given a new number and going back for a vote. We are pleased, that if passed this will aid mentally handicapped persons in the future to qualify for the amber alert. Please sign petition

Jordan's One Strike Law against Pedophiles Petition
Today, we are asking for your support to help pass the Sexual Predator Punishment and Control Act of 2006: Jessica's Law. With your help we can protect our children from dangerous and violent sexual predators.
Ensure that all child molesters who molest children under the age of 14 are put into a prison with a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years or 25 years to life. Closes all loopholes in California's "one-strike" laws.
Eliminate all "good-time" credits for sex offenders ensuring that these sex offenders are required to serve their entire sentence and will not be released for good behavior.
Electronically monitor convicted sex offenders for life, if they are ever released from prison, through GPS tracking.
Create a 2,000-foot "predator-free" zone around schools and parks to prevent sex offenders from living near where our children learn and play.
Jessica's Law is named in memory of nine-year-old Jessica Lunsford, who was taken from her home in Homosassa, Florida, on February 23, 2005, and found brutally murdered three weeks later. A registered sex offender with an extensive criminal history and outstanding warrants for probation violations confessed to abducting, raping, and burying Jessica alive only 150 yards from the home where she had lived with her father and grandparents.
Every state in the nation needs Jessica's Law. Please sign our petition in support of the Sexual Predator Punishment and Control Act of 2006: Jessica's Law. Join us in supporting tougher sex offender legislation to protect our children.
I would first like to thank you very much for visiting my site, It is very important for me to tell you this story, not only for the sake of my daughter but also for other children who are not being protected by "the system". Children have a right to a safe environment.
Chandra Levy. Laci Peterson. Natalee Holloway. Jessie Marie Davis. Do you recognize these names? What about Tamika Huston, Latoyia Figueroa, Linda Renee Innocent and Stepha Henry? All are missing [some now deceased] women. The only difference is the color of their skin. The first group is white and the second group is black.
The purpose of the petition is to stop talking about the disparities in exposure of missing black women and white women and start taking action. My plan is to collect as many signatures as I can and email the petition to every single major news station that is out there: NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News – anybody I can think of. Our time starts now. Please help support this cause!
