Shattered was her life today
dreams and hopes of yesterday
Her spirit no longer to be found
Too many times beaten down
Many nights she silently wept
In her heart the pain she kept
Could it really be her fault?
Did she cause her own assault?
Jealous rage and isolation
Shedding tears the shade of crimson
Words to hurt shouting loud
Controlling threats of harm allowed
Slowly now her existence broken
Vicious acts left unspoken
Is there help for her to see
Beyond the hurt and malignity?
Can she make it? Is there time?
To be whole again and sublime?
She prays of hope and salvation
To be free of this damnation
And then she finds in her despair
The loving hands of Angels that Care.
