The following poem was written in memory of Tina Marie McQuaig:
On March 15, 2000, Tina, age 27, was reported missing after failing to return home from work. Tina clocked out of work at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville Florida at 4:50 p.m. Four days later on March 19, 2000, Tina's car was found in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart in Jacksonville. Tina's husband and (then) five year old son, along with her parents, brother and numerous other relatives and friends, showed tremendous strength and determination as they desperately waited for any news. Nearly 3 years later, they at last know that Tina fell victim to a homicidal maniac. Tina's remains were found in a wooded area in Jacksonville Florida.

Dear Diary,
I recently met someone online today that had their daughter taken from them. What a courageous woman to have endured not only being unable to reach her daughter in her grasp, but to know that someone so mercilessly took her daughter's life from her. That they hurt her daughter and not being able to be there to help her daughter, to hold her hand and let her know that it will all be okay. That God is waiting for her.....
I'll sing you a lullaby little one
To chase you to your dreams,
To stop your pain and hurting
And to give you eternal peace
Where beauty and love awaits you
There is no burden for you to cross,
Your sorrow and agony are over
No more emptiness and loss.
I can hold the moon in one hand
And a candle in the other,
To show you the way through
The labyrinth of life's tortuous mirror
My friend is a strong person that believes in her faith. I feel privileged to know her.
Good night Dear Diary.

Dear Diary,
I'll never let go of my hope. I see the rainbow of many colors and know that my friends' daughter found her destiny with God. I've told my friend that her daughter will always be with her and that her silver lining has not fallen; just lifted higher in the night sky when her life was so callously taken from her. My friend said that she believed me because the day of her daughters death, she remembers looking up at the clouds and seeing a face. She said she wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but then realized it was a profile of her daughter's face lined with what looked like pearls. She said she didn't know then, but knows now that that was her daughter's soul. How interesting to know that her daughter had come to say good-bye. I'm glad that my friend knows this and that she can have some peace knowing that even though her daughter isn't here with us anymore, that she is waiting with our Lord just a little beyond the clouds.
