While we face many difficult times ahead,
Not knowing what our future will hold,
It's important that we all stand together,
And pray that peace will unfold.
Our peoples will continue to suffer,
While our women and children weep,
Suffering at the hands of a society,
Who's safety the law fails to keep.
We must support and give hope to victims,
Who are left with nowhere to go,
We must reach out our arms to hold them,
With love and compassion we must show.
There are parents who grieve for lost children,
Who have died after suffering much pain,
There are kids who've been abducted,
Never seen or heard tell of again.
It is so sad when even our animals,
Fall victim to the cruelty of man,
It's been noted that serial killers,
Tortured pets with their own bare hands!
To ensure safety for our women and children,
It must begin within each of our hearts,
Let voices cry out against injustice,
Our conscience should help do our part.
And so we reflect on days gone by,
And the days we are yet to bear,
Holding hands we will form a circle,
And be known as Angels That Care.
