It's said that in hindsight one learns lessons in life, and its the same with the disappearance/abduction of Madeleine. Without realising what's been done........... we all, collectively, as parents are constantly exposing our children in our care to risk and danger. Young children should never be left alone especially in a strange environment without adult supervision. Especially in the current climate of predators and the like that are around. Children are innocent...... naive........ unspoilt by this world of ours........... they do not know how treacherous events/people can be........ they are defenceless......... unable to protect themselves...........
Having said that....... there are other situations that can happen as well........... if a child wakes up and finds no one around............ they can become scared.........frightened......... or they can get up and start to look for their parents and walk off somewhere where they could hurt themselves/fall down.......... or they can start to play with something like matches and start a fire...... it goes on and on.........
It happens constantly....... and we get over confident as parents.......... and think oh nothing will happen....... it will be ok......... dozens do it.......... so why not........... but it can and does happen.......... Having children is full time... you don't take time off........ you do put your life on the back burner.......... look when they've grown up and gone............ you'll realise how quickly that time went............
Sure most of us have had something happen either in our family or friends families......... where either some accident that could have been avoided where the child was left on their own........... or a near call........ so please let this tragic disappearance of Madeleine help to remind us........... to take care our little ones.
I think I can say we all collectively sympathise with her parents.......... our hearts go out to them......... it must be a terrible ordeal........ terrible.... so soul destroying............ and I only hope and pray that she is found well and alive soon.
