A World Without Adults

When I opened my eyes this morning,
From a dream I had last night,
In which a world once gripped with hate,
Now shone with a loving light.

All streets were adorned with roses,
The scent of Lilacs everywhere,
Houses were all trimmed with gold,
With only children living there.

And in my dream I searched the world,
But no grown ups could I find,
It was full of  little boys and girls,
Spreading innocence of mind.

My eyes were puzzled by what they saw,
So I asked the Lord on high,
Where have all the adults gone,
And He offered me this reply:

My little ones have suffered long,
For the sins of man they've paid,
They lack the teachings of my Word,
In this world of moral decay.

Their minds were weak and growing frail,
From newspapers filled with disease,
They have witnessed things they shouldn't see,
While adults have shun my pleas.

Man captures a lion from it's kingdom,
Teaching it an unnatural way,
And so it goes with the children of God,
Whose ears learn what man says.

Adults will no longer inhabit the earth,
For they cripple the mind of a child,
Therefore I've created a place for them,
So my children will not learn of such vile.

God's precious lambs will suffer no more,
And not inherit what they've been taught,
How foolish of man to continue his ways,
Without once ever thinking he'd be caught.

The place I've created for adults to dwell,
Can be likened to a Heavenly den,
Once they learn how to love and not hate,
I'll return them to earth once again.
