You Must Be Evil

Where have our cherished children gone
Our Mother's, Father's, and Brother's
Sister's too, and those we don't know
Their whereabouts remain undiscovered.

Did an evil being swoop down on them
Are they tormented in some old shack
Perhaps they're laying face down in a field
Only God knows if they'll ever come back.

We scream out your name to return safely home
While our hearts slowly whither and die
Unable to express with words how we hurt
Grief stricken we question God why.

We are the people who represent broken hearts
Caused by predators left out on our streets
Sex offenders amongst them deemed fit to set free
While politicians and judges soundly sleep.

On our knees we have wept, not knowing peace
Missing cases grow older and colder
Longing for loved ones to suddenly appear
Feel the comfort of their head on our shoulder.

What are the families and children to do
To ensure that their lifes will be safe
When laws are in place to protect evil hands
Who glare at your child face to face.

The Justice System, Television, and Media too
I hold responsible for the cases of missing
So obvious to me that they lack common sense
But will hear lifes shattering if only they listen.

You are all familiar with the term 'Missing Persons'.
That term can often be interpreted as being 'Abducted', although certainly not 'always'. When people go 'missing' (children and teens in particular), it is reported that 25% are by Strangers. The other two of course are family members or an acquaintance.
To me, that is an abduction. I was unable to get stats for the number of children and adults who have been abducted by Repeat Sex Offenders who have been given back their freedom, which in too many cases end in tragedy. One persons death is too many.
This new page is for all who are missing as of this writing, and to the families and loved ones whose life's have been shattered as a result.
Take care and have a pleasant week end.

The largest number of missing children are “runaways”; followed by “family abductions”; then “lost, injured, or otherwise missing children”; and finally, the smallest category, but the one in which the child is at greatest risk of injury or death, “nonfamily abductions.” Many times this question is asked under the assumption that family abductions are not a serious matter; however, this is not true. In most cases children are told that the left-behind parent doesn’t want or love them. These children may live the life of a fugitive, always on the run with the noncustodial parent and stripped away from their home, friends, school, and family.
